Finding a compliant solution which would allow for the utilisation of pine for some of the structure was key to the design and overall cost requirements for the project.
Solution
Fireshell F1E applied to joists and sections of underfloor lining allowed for softwoods to be utilised in the construction and meet the BAL29 compliance.
Outcome
The client was happy with EXFIRE’s solution which allowed for the use of pine and subsequently a simpler construction process. Build costs were minimised and the painted finish complimented a smart design with well-finished workmanship.
